b45 for Blanton Turner
Seattle, WA
b45's branding demanded a unique voice that would fit under the larger umbrella of Gathr's brand while still giving b45 its own unique perspective. Located in the U-District, the content and voice needed to speak to students without alienating parents or other residents. When I joined the project, we were working to find a theme to guide the copy throughout the website, especially for the hero text which would be the first introduction to the brand for new viewers.
I pitched a concept that flipped the script, focusing on the community of b45, rather than the apartments. That led to our final hero: This isn't an apartment. It's b45. This cheeky perspective led the rest of our voice to be lightly tongue-in-cheek, aspirational, and social.

Content provided enough playfulness to speak to a younger crowd without sounding unnaturally cheesy. I think I nailed it.

Website Extract
We might look like an apartment. Yeah, you can live here, but this is more than an apartment. We’re a community united in the creative pursuit of side hustles and hobbies calling B45 home.
If you’ve got a similar project, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ve had a long rest and I’m ready to do magic again.
